I have M.E. and I found what other people described as an easy 20-minute walk quite tough really. My feet swelled terribly due to the heat and then a poisoned mosquito bite!
Sorry don't know the number of the bus from Alicante. I flew to Murcia.
Are you going to stay in the Hotel Madrid in Calle de Villa de Madrid? I've just spent a week there and would recommend it to anyone. I had a great time but I believe that was because I was able to communicate with the staff in Spanish.
