Torrevieja Hospitals

I have a few queries here regarding the Hospitals in Torrevieja

1. Does anyone know which hospital is nearer the Park of nations is it the Hospital San Jamie or the Torrevieja Hospital?

2. Does anyone have the website for the new Torrevieja Hospital

3.Are both Hospitals Private,

4. I am considering making an appointment to see a Neurosurgeon im only hoping they will see the patient as they live in ireland and was hoping to bring him over as there is such a waiting list here
and was wondering if anybody new about the fees for these hospitals i have asked the San Jamie but i have had no reply yet

The Torrevieja Hospital is the nearest it is a NHS Hospital. Ok if you have a accident and have your EHIC card. Am pretty sure if you want to see a consultant you will need to be referred by your GP. San Jaime is private sorry not sure of website address but try googling torrevieja hospital. Had to call ambulance for a friend on holiday here and was taken to the torrevieja hospital also taken a couple of other people there. Have found it to be very good

its just that there is a waiting list over here in ireland for a year oublic and i just thought if i went to spain i might get it cheaper but im sure i would have to go private too especially when i have to see a consultant

San Jaime web address is http://www.hsanjaime.com/english/home.php. You can phone them and ask for English. The reception staff are all multi-lingual and most of the doctors I came across also speak English. The majority of nurses don't. No real time delays, but prices (for what I was enquiring about anyway) are in line with UK (London) prices.
