Just been looking at the Torrevieja webcam. Cannot believe what I am seeing, terrible rain and umbrellas up. Worse than here in the UK.

Anyone know what the weather forecast is for next week as am coming out again to Spain then?

    Thanks.

Hi - the forecast for the next few days is not very encouraging unfortunately. Be prepared for some rain if I were you.

      Tim hi,

Thanks. I see you live in Portsmouth. My boyfriend's son lives in Southsea.

Without going into too much detail had a rather nasty encounter at a London bus stop earlier this week. Am still in one piece though thank goodness and whatever the weather in Torrevieja we will enjoy ourselves.

        Hi Impey,
Glad to be of assistance. Yes, we live in Drayton - on the hillslopes. Glad your encounter at the bus stop was not too serious.

Have a nice time in Spain - we're down again next month - can't wait,

        Tim

I flew out to Murcia on Thursday 4th October to go to Torrevieja to view a flat which a woman is selling direct from Scotland. (She lives just outside Edinburgh). I, too had been watching the live webcam before I went and it was very grey, dark and raining sometimes. I also couldn't believe it.
As my plane circled waiting to land, and we were still above the clouds, the lightening was illuminating the whole night sky!
The guy who picked my up from the airport, who has lived there for 3 years, told me that the weather had been awful. I could see that there was water lying everywhere (cos their drainage system isn't built to cope with rain like they'd been having).
I told him that when I got up next morning, the sky would be blue and the sun would be shining - because I simply would not tolerate anything else! It was and he texted to thank me! It then went on to be sweltering hot and sunny. I went to the beach on Sunday morning and I had to leave it for the shade of a beach cafe's terrace at 12 noon!
It then rained heavily on Thursday 11th when I was coming home but it gave me an excellent opportunity to see the flat I am buying (not the one I went to see) in bad weather - which you don't often get the chance of checking.
It was pouring again yesterday although the forecast had been a 60% chance of rain.
In practice, if they get rain, they usually have 2 days of it and then the weather goes back to the usual.
By the way, again when my plane home took off, there was lightening flashing and earlier, I had heard thunder.
