new years eve bars double their prices ????

tonight some bars will charge thier loyal customers double the price.
these are the same people that keep them going when there`s few holiday maker here.
the Mosquito Bar in La Florida is charging the same prices today as it will right through the year.

Having lived here for nearly 5 years I don't know of any bar doubling their prices for New Years Eve. Taxi's maybe but not bars.

how sad resorting to this to try to get punters in to your own pub - I thought I'd try this bar the next time we're over but never in a million years now!

I agree with you totally.
It's one thing to drum up costom but quite another to do it by slagging off the competition.
A happy new year for the Mosquito Bar - I doubt it!

I think the point Furniture Boy was trying to make is that although some bars apparently up their price for New Years Eve. The Mosquito Bar will (or was) charging it's normal price for drinks. At least that's how I interpreted the message !

If you read the posts under NEW BAR it will become clear to you that furniture guy is connected with the Mosquito Bar in La Florida.
So I totally agree with the other posters, this is a cheeky way of advertising your bar on this forum and unjustly slates the other bars. (Or have you some evidence to back up the accusation Furniture Guy?).
