Tipsys - Los Locos

Hi

Can anyone tell me if "TIPSYS" just of Los Locos beach is still open. and is Cookie still there?
We are out there in April and love the friendly atmosphere at Tipsys.

Yes Tipsy`s is still open, but I can`t help on whether Cookie is still there or not as I don`t actually use the bar.

We spent 3 weeks last summer in Torrevieja and most days and nights were spent eating drinking and singing the night away with Cookie and Debs.
I know they were due to be there until the end of August 2008 but had not decided if they would renew or do something different.
Typing this I can almost taste the Tipsy burgers again!
My father in law is going in 6 weeks again so I can confirm nothing has changed at the end of Feb if you want.
I thought I was going to get there again this year but due to my very own Credit Crunch that now is unlikely so if you do make it out there say hello to them all from Big Paul and his family from Belfast.

Also the Se Vende sign that has been in the window for the last year or so isn`t up anymore (well it wasn`t last Saturday). So maybe he has sold up, or decided to leave it for the moment.

Grayham and Debs are still there. They have given up the idea of selling at the moment as there are three other bars nearby up for sale.

My father in law came back last week and Tipsys is still going strong unlike some of the other bars in the area which struggle in the winter time. Tipsys is a favorite with ex pat which helps.
He confirmed that they would be there to the end of August but still didn't know about after that (I think the new grandchild might have a lot to do with this).
Anyway hope this helps and enjoy you stay.

PS trust my father in law to be in Spain when the mighty Spurs beat Chelsea, hes the only Chelsea supporter I know, but not to worry I Sky+ the match to show him every time he visits us now.... I suppose I should have done the same with the Barnsley match today!

Tipsy's is still there, but has changed hands. Graham and Debs no longer there. Cookie does the Karaoke over the road in what was the old Pegasus bar on Thursday and Friday and Debbie works at the Queen Vic which used to be Gabby's and where there is a fantastic quiz on Tuesday nights.

Hi, Im new here! I visited Tipsy's for the first time during the fortnight that Graham and Deb left. They were ace.

I had little faith in the new owners (I have to admit)

I have just heard that it has since closed again....

Does anyone here know how to find the details of the real estate agent and the details of if its on the market etc??
