Hi Jacpops

Many congratulations on completing the purchase of your property. PP (Cin) is a mutual friend. I've sent 2 text now with no reply. Believe you met her on the first saturday she went out - do you know how things are going?

Do you feel relief now you have got the (hopefully) worst behind you?

Yes everything is now going ok and hopefully everything will be ok until we next visit at the end of April (cant wait). If you have tried to get hold of Pat you may have a problem as she is not back in the UK until 26th Feb. I am dying to find out how her completion and other things went. When we all met up on 12th we had a good old chin wag. We met up again with Pat and hubby on the Sunday and she told us that she was feeling really happy and excited about everything and was looking forward to completion. Hope you are now sorted, I have seen your post and although I cant help with where you are I hope everything goes well for you this time. Take care.

I am so pleased that Pat was using 'excited and happy' I've been worrying about her and text her a couple of times but she did say she sometimes forgets to put any credit on her phone!

Do you believe that you have now done the right thing and that all the worry was worth it (well maybe thats a bit strong but....)

Now we are through all the crap of the last 18 months we are happy, yes the old chestnut re the green area wont go away but we still like the area, including the bars, shops and facilities. We have met some very nice people who are in the same area as us and when the new marina and beaches are done it will be even better. We are still hoping that when they build further down we will still be able to see the sea but who knows. When we completed I spotted a lovely detached place with its own pool, which I would love but cant afford. Our plan is to keep our little apartment for holidays and then when (I used to say if, so that says a lot) we move over in perhaps 5+ years we can buy a smaller place in the UK as a bolt hole and a bigger place in Spain where our family can visit us. We still wouldnt buy of plan again, and maybe in years to come may decide to buy somewhere else in a different area but for the time being things are great and I have just recently booked flights to come over at the end of April, cant wait to see some sunshine as its so cold here with snow showers.

I am so glad its a happy ending. It would be so hard to explain to people how traumatic it is to get to that stage. I am really really pleased for you, it must be a wonderful feeling - what are you doing with yourself now!!!!????

The nicest thing of all, as you say, are the genuinely nice people you meet along the way.

Just hope PP comes back positive and felt it worthwhile. Cant wait to speak to her.
