  • Rental Prices

I was wondering if someone could give me an insight into the rental market at the moment. I am thinking of renting out a 3 bed 2bath Quad, fully furnished on a long-term basis rather than holiday lets.

Could anyone having experience in this area advise on the likely market price I could rent at. I assume the utilities, phone etc would be down to the tennant.

To be realistic you are looking at between 500 and 650 depending on what you are including, we paid 550 for a three bed quad plus bills,

Also rented anothe rfor 500 per month plus bills so there is a difference in price that is out there and as we know when looking for something we are paying for we are always looking at the cheapest and saving that last cent, I have an owner who has agreed to drop her rent by 100 euros as neighbours have done this and the competition on her urb is quite high.

The best thing is to look at the market around where your property is, think about how you are going to do it with or without an agent is this agen going to take a percentage everymonth or is it a set fee no matter how mouc you rent for. There are advantages and disadvantages of doing with or without agents.

Many thanks for your replies. It's pretty much as I was expected, and leads me to the conclusion that I would get more in interest on the money by selling, even at a reduced price. Without any of the hassle associated with renting.

Just as a matter of interest, when you rent your place out & you want tenants to pay their electric & water, how do you organise this ? We don't rent our place out but obviously we have DD's set up to pay utilities ourselves. Just wondering. Probably sounds a silly question & it must be easy enough as so many do it. (Hope they're all paying their taxes too !!)
