Vodafone 49 euros per month mobile internet

Hi All,

Does anybody have mobile internet @ 49 euros per month from Vodafone, with mini modem. If so. does it work ok in the Torrevieja area, and where did you buy it from?

i got this about 9mth ago there was a deal on at the time 60 euro per mth for the modem and contract mobile with 1000 free mins to national landlines havent had a problem with it so far i live near la mata, i got the modem at the vodaphone shop in la mosca centre playa flamenca

We will only be in La Mata for around 2 months max. I guess it is on a 12 month contract, or you can stop paying anytime?

They will probably ask you to sign up for 18 months

Mobile Internet

Hi We have got Mobile Internet with Euphoney which uses the orange mobile system. On this it is possible to get connected to skype so the signal is very good. The only thing is that you only get 1GB of downloads a month. We pay 30 euros a month. A contact for this is Alan on the tel. 610829141

There is another service provider calles Metro something. that provides you with Wifi access from all over the alicante province. They are currently working to improve theri cover. But the idea is that anyone can access internet from everywhere via wifi.
I cant remember how much it is or if they have any cover in Torrevieja. In santa pola you can connect to them though.

There is also another company called AGW that provides you with wireless internet so you dont need a landline. I dont know their conditions though

I have the Vodafone mobile internet and it works fine. I have the Pay as You go version. It cost 99e to buy the modem and that came with 20e of credit topped up for 40e when I got it and thats lasted 4mths so far and still going and I am online a few hours each day so well worth looking into.

I have read that there is Wi-Fi in Torrevieja (in the marina area for yachtsmen) - so I guess you need a laptop equipped for Wi-fI and you are in business ?

You can buy the modem from any vodafone shop without a contract for about 120 euros. Then you simply connect to your laptop or your desktop computer, and it does the rest automatically. If you dont contract the connection then you can buy a 1 Gb credit for 60 euro . this is valid for 3 months, alternatively just can top up you card when you have used you credit. This system is really brilliant if you dont have a phone line connection .I have been using it for about 6 months nos and never had a problem

I'm a visitor and got fed up with Telefonica's indifferent service and extortionate for landline rental and ADSL. When they failed to rectify the lack of phone line and internet at my property I kicked them into touch.
I now get my internet connection via Orange mobile broadband at a cost of Euro6/month plus Euro2 per day when connected - ideal tariff for visitors but other deals for regular users are available. The modem is free when signing up for 18 months. Brilliant deal which works well in Los Altos but check out 3G signal strength where you live. Whilst at 'Phone House' arranging this I switched my mobile phone Sim cards from Vodafone to 'HAPPY' pay as you go. Once again a brilliant service at a fraction of the Vodafone rate with for example calls to the UK costing 6.7 cents/min plus connection charge.
Altogether I reckon to have saved about Euro500 p.a.

Where is the phone house? This sounds really good for visiting. Do the deals include mobile phone useage in spain? Any other places I can check similar deals out?
