Places to go this thurs/fri/sat

Hi there,

we're coming out for a few days at the end of this week, can anyone let me know if there are any smaller markets on than torre's big friday morning one? Usually we like the sunday morning lemon tree one, but are flying back on sat night so will miss it.

Also, as we are usually summertime visitors, we would like to go somewhere (not too far away) for a nice wander around for a couple of hours that we wouldn't usually go to due to traffic and heat. Someone once suggested Cartegena to me, does anybody have any more specific details or alternative suggestions.

From memory I think there is a market in Alicante on Thursdays and again on Saturdays. Also on Saturdays in Santa Pola and Elche. A good day iut if you have never been before is Guadalest. Lovely scenic village if a little "touristy"

Thanks for the answers so far - Thats quite a bit of choice!
We have been to guadalest a few times, including in a bizzare hail storm one May! so will probably give it a miss this time.

Are the Santa Pola, La Marina and Rojales markets fairly easy to find within the towns?
