Punta Prima Marina

Made some enquiries and had the following reply "Group Gomendio will be constructing a beach and promenade but this will not be a private beach, as all beaches in Spain are owned by the government La Costas" The project runs alongside its own unique promenade" So we will be able to contnue walking along the beach as long as the tide isn't high!

You will be too busy enjoying all the lush gardens, swimming pools, golf pitch etc. Sounds a nice development especially if you get a sea view!

Just to be nosey I sent from a brochure from Mediter Real Estates. This new developments looks very impressive. A bit out of my price range though Im affraid. They are also building a beach front complex near Playa Flamenca beach, plus others along the coast further south including one on the Mar Menor, they do look fab I must admit

I think the marina might be finished 20008 not 2008. Seriously there is a lot of work going on in that area. Just about the end of the sea view from the 332 until you reach Costa Calida.

Yes, that is what I was told. The builder, Grupo Gomendio, bought this land 30 years ago and they also own the costline.

The beaches will be a part of the whole urbanisation. 1900 appartments, hotel, beachpromenade, medical senter, sportssenter, golf and tennis, stores, cafes and restaurants.

So why are the council working on the beach by Nautilas now and not the builder? Plus I havn't seen any activity on the site for 6 month. No cranes or workmen, could they be going bust like so many others?

With the nonexistent state of the of the off plan market or any property sales (see this weeks Coastrider page 9) any plans or drawings I would take with a pinch of salt.
If I had bought from this company off plan in the last few months I would be very worried at the lack off activity down at Punta Prima. The council are making an disabled access to the beach at Nautilus and improving the beach so as to get a blue flag next year. This was reported in all the papers when this years blue flags were rewarded.

I havent heard anything about Gomendio being in trouble. but they have stopped building the next phases until the demand picks up again. That was what I was told by an employee. Wise move I must say. As far as the beach and promenade. Gomendio Cant own the coast. Ley de costas wouldnt allow that. So it would only be logical that its the council thats working on it and not gomendio. Obviouslt Gomendio would have used the beach, promenade and the marina in their marketing though.

I think you can assume all companies are in trouble compared to a couple of years ago. That's why so many have gone bust and people have lost their deposits. Look at San Jose
half built urbs. etc. Much safer to buy resales at least you know what the area looks like when finished as opposed to promises most of them false anyway.

As far as I was aware there is no such thing in Spain as 'private beaches' and that the coastline is the property of the Vallencian Government??
