Maestro is one of the most used cards here. You may well have a problem with Switch though, that is usually only supplied by Nat West, which wasn't a Scottish bank when I lived there!!

          Card

As long as your card shows the Cirrus symbol this means that you can use it in ATM's to withdraw cash.

If you have a Bank of Scotland card which is Solo then you will find that more difficult to use just like in Scotland not many places accept it.

Best to have a Nattionwide account use their cash card as it doesn't attract a transaction fee when used in the ATM's and you get the Bank rate no the tourist rate which can mean a difference of 4 cents sometimes.

            La Torreta

Just for info, the new Natwest chip & Pin debit cards carry only the Maestro and Cirrus logos. The Switch logo seems to have been dropped by Natwest.
