SAT/DIGITAL TV

[fannyanne]

Hi can anyone please help me,
I have a holiday home near Torrevieja on a fairly new urbanisation. Previous newcomers had Sat tv installed by companies using mesh dishes. The urb. has now been given chance to have Sat tv from one main ?ariel. We hadnt gone for previous tv offers as they seemed expensive at outlay and it would appear now that some were bogus, nevertheless, this offer is for 490 euros initial set up and I believe 15 monthly. Does anyone know of a better buy? as this still seems a high initial outlay.
Thankyou in anticipation

The cheapest system is a DIY if you have a Soth Facing balcony or roof where you can mount a Sat dish yourself.

- 80cm or 1.2m dish inluding the LNB (the electronic bit in the middle)
- a UK SKY digibox
- Cable and connectors

This will receive the Sothern Beams of the Astra Satellite which gives you SKY news, CNN News, Radio2 and Radio4 and shopping channels. Good enough to keep in touch. Total Cost 200-300 euros and no ongoing costs - cheaper if you scrounge around. If you already have a SKY card in the UK, you can use it to pick up Sky sports channels

If a neighbour has a dish can I put a cable to it to recieve a signal and all I will require is a uk digibox and also pay the monthly fee?
