    Atention all shoppers:
Supercor (corte ingles) has been opened yesterday at La Mosca comercial center (Alameda del Mar).
Habaneras comercial center will be opened to the public Friday 11th March (next to Carrefour).
All very nice however I fear how the traffic is going to be on the N332!

The 12th March is a Saturday, so is it Friday or Saturday that it is opening?

Where is La Mosca Centre exactly?

Is the Commercial Habernera the one being built next to Carrefour? if so it must have come on a good deal since I was there in February!

La Mosca is near to the Playa Flamenca roundabout on the same side of the N332 as Lidl but nearer to Mercadona.
Apparently they are working all hours for the Habaneras to be open on time next week.

Thanks for the update. What is a Supercor? is it a scaled down Corte Inglese? What does it sell?

Haven't been along yet but I gather it's a hypermarket type of thing. Just what's needed!

Yes the Habaneras place is finished and I see that there is a C&A in there.

It is just a great pity that this mall is going to add to the already frightful traffic.

I'm afraid it won't be the last (e.g. talk of a shopping complex replacing the old bull ring). Torrevieja is the fastest growing city in Spain so retailers are bound to take advantage of this expanding consumer market.

On the plus side, property owners will see continued rise in the values of their homes as the region gains more commercial / tourist attractions but without the usual development of nightclubs and bars....thankfully!

                    So its not all bad!
