I would try on both 40 and 42 for those sizes. Bear in mind that Spanish women are a different shape though. You may need the larger size for the British hips.

The following seem to work:

Dresses and Coats (vestidos and abrigos)
UK 12 = Spanish 40
UK 14 = Spanish 42

Blouses and Sweaters (camisas and jerseys)
UK 12 = Spanish 38
UK 14 = Spanish 42

Trousers (pantalones)
UK 12 = Spanish 44
UK 14 = Spanish 46
