Hello! Newbie Help!

Hey all,

this is my first visit to this neck of the woods, my friend has let me and some friends use his appartment in Rojales, which is a little out of torrevieja. We have been trying to hire cars with no luck, (were all 21-23 and a party of 6, so need a larger people carrier). So it looks as though we need to get a taxi from airport which is not a problem, but i was wondering on how we would get back and fore to the beach? out appartment has a pool, but wed like to visit the beaches. does anyone know of regular buses or will we need taxi's aswell?
Also, id be up for renting jet-skis while on the beach? is this kind of water sport available?

Also, is there much going on in rojales and benijofar, or would be need to head to torrevieja in the evenings?

Hello Newbie

Open Car hire are in Quesada which is very close to Rojales. I think the web site is either or You will need a car as Rojales is about 5 miles from the beach and I think splitting the cost among among 6 people would be cheaper than buses and taxis. They will also meet you at the airport and you drop the car back there when returning home. The return taxi fare for 6 to / from the airport would probably go well towards the car hire cost. They are good and competitive.

I dont know about Jet skis but I would think they are available nearby. Enjoy the hols and drive safely!!

Don't go to the Torrevieja beaches, go to Guadamar, its closer anyway. there a few bars in benofar set up for the brits (pot noodles on the menu?!) Torrevieja good in the evenning so head there.

You can hire jet skis at La Zenia or Cabo Roig beaches about 10/15 mins from Rojales by the motorway. Not many carhire firms rent to the under 25's

Torrevieja is alright for nightlife. Alicante is better.
Just make sure that you dont drink and drive.
