Anyone having trouble accessing pool ares of the complex My Daughter and
Daughter and grandchildren over for last days informed community decided that pool would not open until 1st July and close end August for rest of year
as our pool is gated no way of getting access Is this legal? Dont live there all year round but with grandchildren its impossible to explain that to them that they cant use pool and temp in Mid to high twentys
Info would be appreciated. Own appt for past six years

I would go farther than that and threaten to bring in your lawyer and sue the President and committee for devaluing your property by obstructing you access to your part of the community for no valid reason.

They probably closed the pool because the majority of residents didnt want to pay for the maintenance in the winter time.
You can challenge that at the residents meeting.

Every year you have an AGM where the rules of the community are agreed and you shoud as the owner have had a set of minutes confirming what was agreed at that meeting which would cover any rules relating to the pool and its use.
This would have to have been agreed by a majority. If you can not recall any such rule being agreed either go and see you urbanisation or write to him asking him to clarify this point.
He / She can not decide rules without formal approval and it seems stupid to have a pool and not use it as the weather in Sept/Oct is still warm enough to use the pool.
