Does anyone know of a good computer repair shop in Torrevieja centre that could look at my laptop and give me an estimate for repairing it

ADL in Ramon Gallud and PC Box which is along the side street by the English book shop. I don't know how good they are as we haven'd had anything fixed, but you could try and see if they will give you a free estimate.

I need a quote for my insurance. The laptop is a Time notebook with water damage, the screen has lines down it and the computer races when switched on, then switches itself off.

Can you tell me the model number and year. Also what operating system you have. Time have been out of biss for a few years. Was the purchase through UK? It sounds like the laptop is of no use and to replace the componants will be very difficult to do. I would consider that a replacement unit will be needed to the value. Information from the laptop can be done via usb flash drive or another backup medium. Before you go any further back up everything you have, this may well be lost along the way. Is your insurance UK or Spain based?

Model is A520-K7 Notebook and its 6 years old and purchased in the UK. Already sorted data out and transferred it to my other laptop. I just need a quote saying its beyond repair. The cost when new was £1200 including printer carrying case etc

The quote is not a problem just wether it is for Spain or UK just have to word it differently. Spanish insurance can take a while though. The cost in the UK will be around the £35 mark and I would have to see it and test it. In Spain I have to charge €25, This will include a full report and the cost of relacement parts if they can be replaced.
I am not here to advertise my own services just to help and point folk in the right direction so I am not sure about giving contact info on this forum. maybe you know a way in wich to contact me if need be.
