I would really appreciate some advise on the following before I decide what to do (buying a property with aircon in lounge only & considering full installation)

In summertime are cooling fans sufficient to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature?

In the colder months will warm air con units give out sufficient heat to provide a comfortable environment?

Could anyone with aircon installed (lounge& 3 beds) provide an idea of annual running costs

I found it unbearable at night in bed last summer. even with the ceiling fans and the window open.
We have recently had air conditioning fitted and find it excellent for heating the lounge.
Can't tell you about how much it costs because we haven't had it in very long and at the moment we live in the Uk and only go out to Spain about once a month.

We have a 2 bed apartment with lounge and had A/c fitted last year. It is heaven!

The unit is panasonic dual cool/heat and is perfectly adequate for the whole apartment.

we just have the one unit in the lounge and we leave the bedroom doors open at night it is great because the cold air is not blowing directly across the bed.

Heat is just right too.

I now use my stand fan on the balcony when it gets to hot!

We have an AC in the sittingroom in our 2 bedroom house, we also have roof fans in the bedrooms. That make it nice to sleep in the summertime and comfortable in the winter.

We also used it for drying the humidity when the house was new.

We use the AC for heating in winter. And it is excelent. We were so impressed by the AC (P........) so we also bought one for our house in Scandinavia. It heats some 70m2. It works til minus 15 degrees outdoor. (While lower we use wood.)

Difficult to say what it costs to run it but I have heard it takes 1kw and gives 3kw. It all depends on the use.
