why not contact torrestat ??

Hi Nicky would you be so kind and clear something up for me, my neighbour this morning told me that Sky News on Torrestat has been pulled, which is very worrying if true as that is one of the so called FTA channels as supposedly BBC ITV channels are. If it would not be too much trouble could you list the channels you are receiving as I am strongly thinking of changing to torrestat myself.

Thank you for the information, I do love a film that is not quite what it seems. Usual Suspects, L.A. Confidential and No Way Out are prime examples. As I am new to this forum, I was not aware until recently that items, not relating to Torrevieja were "pulled". However I feel that a genuine course of dialogue between residents, whether permanent or visitors should be encouraged. After all it can only add to a more united community, although I have read some comments, that I feel are more aggresive than is required. Perhaps we should start/encourage a review of current films and television programmes. Possibly starting with films, as so many people are without television at the moment. But then we could begin with "House". My husband, who is not a House follower, is well versed with the opening music. Even if I mute the opening credits, he immediatley recognises Hugh Laurie's American drawl. If you have any recommendations, I would be pleased to hear from you.
We are now recieving Torresat, my husband payed the joining fee, and was told that it would take two - three weeks. He payed the fee on the Friday, Monday night at 22.15 there was a ring on the door bell. And low and behold it was Torresat. He initially wanted to connect us by cable. But we had heard that the reception using this method was not reliable. So we persuaded him to install a dish. So the next evening he came back with said dish. We now have more channels than before, albeit no Sky and several Nordic stations. But I have to say, a clearer picture, not that we required the extra viewing, it would take you half a day to compile the nights viewing. But you have to feel sorry for existing Teleast subscribers. I lady I spoke to on Wednesday, she has been with Teleast for several years, and they are now part of Torresat. Her signal went off air quite some time ago, and although she has badgered them, she is yet to have any service. Needless to say she was less than pleased with my news of our beyond hours service.
Looking forward to series five of House, Wilson, Cuddy and who know's.

I actually managed to speak to someone in the Telmicro office,yesterday(659430869)!!!

The Spanish gentleman informed me that paperwork was still being put in order,and that they hoped to be broadcasting again,early next month.

When pressed as to why information was not forthcoming,via a website,the old "you are breaking up,I cannot hear you"yarn was all I got.

i have heard that the police are going around the bars and hotels removing sky cards from is this true and are they authorised to do this ?

It is more likely that they will close them DOWN and charge the owners with pircay, order complete audits, back tax and imprison them. To make a point and get rid of the illegal activities. They will make a statement, but they do obviously not have the resources to go after all. My guess is that they will go after the biggest pubs.

Rumours, Innuendo’s and Lies?

Supposedly all the Telemicro equipment, whilst in the custody of the Guardia has been smashed up! The rumour (if true) is that they (Telemicro) will not be back on air until sometime in September.

Now one has to ask:

1) The likelihood that the Guardia would allow the destruction of such evidence.

2) Why would Telemicro make such claims?

3) Why no official statements from them as to when exactly they will be back on air?

4) If the charges were dropped and the equipment was not retained / damaged why so long to reconnect the equipment? I cannot see the Guardia just RIPPING OUT equipment, central to an allegation of illegal Broadcasting. You would want the evidence intact!

Perhaps there is still an ongoing investigation, and they have only been released pending further inquiries! Hence the need to purchase new equipment as the original is being held as evidence!

After all, if I was charged with an offence for which I am innocent, I´d want everyone to know my side of the story. Bearing in mind the interest from the media, it seems strange that the people involved are being so quiet! Perhaps they have something to hide after all.

Scams

Not more scary than the Y2k effect. another scam to make us all upgrade computers etc etc.

Good way to make money!
Why do I think it is the same people who believe in ghosts, astronomy (calling the premium lines) and footballers wifes who keep losing out because of these scams!

It does irritate me though, that Telemicro has not startet broadcasting again. No matter how much of a scam it may have been.

Accepting that this way bygone the scope of this thread, I must admit that it is scary knowing the Mayan Calender to end on the 21.12.2012, especially taking into consideration the hangover I usually have they day after ours ends on the 31.12 each year.

I have to say old mother shipton from Knaresborough said that in 1999 the world would end by man destroying man by fire she was right in all her other predictions but thankfully not this one. However they were made in 1498
