Try calling the number without using a cheaper calling service (i.e. if you use a prefix before every number etc) - those sort of services don't support 902 numbers. Also if you're calling from a UK number it won't work, it's the spanish version of an 0845 number.Originalmente publicado por lets3 Ver Mensajethis munber does not work have you land line number starting 96

It is not a Mayor it is one of the previous owners of Telemicro. They are broadcasting certain channels free until the 31/12/08 and then there will be a connection fee of between 300 to 400 Euro's. It will not matter if you were a Telemicro customer because this is a different company.Originalmente publicado por lauras187 Ver MensajeHi i have heard this morning that the mayor of (somewhere sorry forgot!!) has bought Telmicro and are back on air with 7 channells to start with and more on the way. Obviously it wont be called Telmicro anymore but if you check ur tv it will be back on for free until Jan 09 then im not sure whats happening!!!
I made the switch to Torresat when it was 190 and glad I did by the time you have to pay for the connection fee to the "new" Telemicro Torresats install will have gone back up to 500 euro's. Either way if you wait until January it is going to cost you.

Torresat TV Cut off Torrevieja Torresat TV
EX-TELEMICRO CUSTOMERS LOOSING TV AS OF 31st DECEMBER 2008.
EX-TELEMICRO customers who have paid money to have there mesh pointed at the Torresat transmitter have been warned that Torresat will be swithching off the signal on the 31st of December 2008 and that only subscribers to Torresat will be able to watch British TV.
With installation charges of €450 plus monthly subscriptions for a service that no-longer includes and premium channels since SKY TV made complaints and Telemicro got closed down Torresat removed the sky sports channels along with Sky 1 and the Sky Movie channels. This has left many frustrated Brits deciding to get a satellite dish installed pointing at the ASTRA 2D Satellite that broadcasts British TV for FREE with no subscriptions. Torresat have filled the gap since Telemicro was shut down in June leaving 55'000 Brits with no TV.
If you want no hassle, no subscriptions then get a satellite dish installed with a freesat or sky box!
Members of the satellite tv installers Industry are predicting a very busy January & February as furious Brits who have had enough of unreliable mesh re-broadcasted TV switch to the only legal option of having a satellite dish installed with there own personal satellite dish.

I've signed up with Simulsat TV who have more or less taken over Telmicro, it's just 19.90 a month paid by direct debit, if it all goes pearshaped, I just need to cancel my direct debit, If that does happen I will then buy my own 2.4 dish and have that installed but for now I will save my big outlay and see how it goes. Don't really want a dish as I think they are an eyesore but if that's the only way to go so be it.

I wondered when this would happen. I am on a satellite direct to air system purchased for 90 euros or so from Brico Todo but the channels I receive are not that inspiring (no BBC, ITV etc but some movie channels - True Movies 1 & 2, Zone Channels, Movies4Men, Paranormal, news channels etc). Sadly, on our community are many older people who lost everything when Telmicro went and now cannot afford to replace the pirated Torresat signals which have been received by re adjusting the mesh aerials. To have the satellite dish system installed is out of their reach financially. I lend out videos etc to help out and my video player but there is a limit to the choice ultimately.Originalmente publicado por Mr Orange Ver MensajeEX-TELEMICRO CUSTOMERS LOOSING TV AS OF 31st DECEMBER 2008.

Azuretel - I'm Testing so far very Good !!
HI I'm now testing the Azuretel system. Its great. I 've only had it a week, but so far the TV is good. I get BBC,ITV,Sky,Various Movies and some Show time sports and Movies. In all about 40 Channels. The internet is OK its 2MB and I'm told will increase to 4MB shortly. I also have the Phone which would you beleive, I get Two Telephone numbers (Spanish and UK). Both work on the same phone and there crystal clear. I'm told its going to cost me €50 per month. From what I see I will probably cancel my Telefonica Internet and Phone at €66.00 and TV through Torresat at €20 (Not very good anyway keeps going off). The Engineers who installed the service are from Azuretel Telecom Med and are based here, they speak very good english. I never did like the idea of independent installers seems dodgy.
I have enquired to whether they use Telefonica for this. They have there own Fibre Loop in eight locations and have there agreements with ONO and Jazz Tel and Telefonica. Not sure who Jazz tel are but apparantly they also supply there TV from Gibraltar using separate IPTV system (Not sure how it works). It comes in on a set top box in my house from a small dish type unit on the roof (pretty cool can get email and Internet on my TV). Works well took about an Hour approx to install. I'm told install and set top box are free to all users. I live in Los Balcones and there are now I beleive 20 users testing this service in the region. They plan to go live in March some time. What I do know is that Gibraltar has access to all the UK TV and its legal. Also I have not had to pay for the install either which I see as pretty cool. I'm not sure how you can get the service now on test as I managed to getit from applying to an email sent to me in December asking for test users in the Alicante region. I have passed the email to my sister and she tried a reply and got a very polite sorry the cut off for the tests has expired. I will find out more next week.
Cheers

Raining on Parades
The internet is a wonderful thing - you can input almost anything and find out lots for free. Like various combinations of azure and tel and telecom - none of which appear to have any real info about a system that's supposed to go live in about two weeks, no phone number, no address, no info ! There's a Leeds address, one in Glasgow, one in Arizona, but as for sunny Spain ??? Of course these could be companies with similar names but not the same outfit - who knows.
Mind you, you could input others into Google as well and come up with the same lack of info about systems possibly supposedly available around Torry!
2 cents worth
