    Regards..

Steve-the-dodgy-painter who has obtained degrees from De Montfort University:

In the first person 'i' should read 'I'

      immotive should be spelt: emotive

Your own language was obviously not one of your stronger subjects.

I'm bored with this one now. Back to my glass of wine and Brian Deller book.

As for the poem, its source is attributed fully and hence complies with copyright law. Ask your lawyer about that as well if you like.

Copyright gives the author of certain types of material rights to control the use or commercial exploitation of the work that he or she has created. This includes rights to authorise or prohibit the copying, issuing of copies, renting or lending, performing, showing, playing, broadcasting or adaptation of the copyright material.

Material sent over the internet or stored on web servers is generally protected in the same way as material in other media. Anyone placing copyright material on the internet, or distributing or downloading material that others have placed on the internet, must therefore ensure that they have the permission of the copyright owner. A copyright notice on a web site will often set out what you can and can't do with the material on that site.

Unlike the US , Europe has no registration process for copyright works. Once the work is created, copyright exists. Copyright prevents the reproduction of the copyright work in any material form, the making of any adaptation of the work, the making of a translation of the work or the publishing of the work without the consent of the copyright owner.

It's nice to know that as a "former employee of a law enforcement agency", whatever that's supposed to be, that you are so fully clued up on the law, or not as the case seems to be.

I am just waiting for my lawyer to reply to my email regarding libel law, so I will update you on that when the information is to hand. Until then I will not waste my time discussing that matter with you any further.

I will however, continue to post quotes from your posts, and continue to ask you to authenticate them, as you seem to be very apt at avoiding the issues that you yourself raise, when questioned by others, whilst deflecting responses by issuing insults, insinuations and libelous statements. The sort of thing that a child does when it knows it's losing an arguement.

You might have a very good command of the English language but you're not very good at intelligent intellectual debate are you .

Britbuild could be right about copyright

I am not sure what kind of copyright the writer gives up by having the poem published according to the conditions of the Costa Rider, I might look it up if I am bored at the pub tonight - hopefully I got better things to do.

It would never constitute a crime to publish it. It does open up possible liability and possible breach of the terms for using this web-site. Still no criminal offence as it is not a pattern used to make gains or deprive the holder of any income.

At worst it would be a civil suit for compensation. However this would be up to the right-holder to pursue. My well educated guess is that this person, having written a very funny poem depicting a prototype British immigrant might choose not to do so for two reasons: 1) The purpose of writing the poem was for as many people as possible to read and enjoy it, 2) Some may consider it a racist attack on a large group of people if it was given too much attention, this again leading to possible criminal charges.

I'm no Spanish judge, I do however have 23 years of experience using and publishing on the the Internet and my sincere belief is that the focus should be on the subjects addressed rather than the person behind it. Even if we disagree on one issue, we may very well agree on the next.

Why does the Guardia Civil always ask you for ID? Because they try to catch you on a technicality rather than on an offence you have done. Personally I would prefer that they where out there catching the real bad guys, but I am afraid that tax-evasion, wrongly filed complexed forms and not carrying the right permissions are "the crimes of the future".

Who cares about rapists, paedophiles, robbers, killers and drug dealers when the government is loosing money??? Everyone but the Police! Its getting like this in the UK too.

So here we have a supposed pillar of the community, who prides himself on being a law abiding citizen and is a "Retired employee of law enforcement agencies", but is quite willing to commit to writing libelous remarks without substance or evidence.......................

Well for starters Mr MJC you will be reported to the site owners for making libelous comments on a public forum. I will further be taking the matter up with my lawyers.

And dont think that for one minute you can remain anonymous behind your keyboard. The site software will record the IP address of all posters on here for future reference, just in case someting like this occurs. Oh and in case you decide to delete your post, it has been saved on my computer for evidence.

You really must be a very sad person if you have to resort to insults and slander, just because you are incapable of debating a subject intellectually.

Oh, and in case you haven't read them, here is the relevent site rule: "IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN:

                - To send or transmit information which content may be - directly or not - transgressing the law, be irreverent, improper, LIBELLOUS or fraudulent."

And : "IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN: To send or transmit information BELONGING to third parties (Well that covers the poem post) or that could adversely affect the IMAGE and/or rights of those parties." (And the last portion acurately describes your post regarding me and my activities).

So basically, you are no better than those that you try to portray as "law breaking English scum". Or in your world do you only have to follow the rules that you want to, and agree with ?

No different to the rest of us then are you............................................... ......
What if MJC was using an internet cafe, how could you possibly find out who it was? Think the lawyer would be wasting his time and your money.

To be honest this is becoming tiresome. I appreciate that others may have a different viewpoint or outlook on life to me, and I respect that. But I would also expect others to do the same, instead of condescendingly, pompously, and bigotedly pidgeonholing people they dont know and have never met, just because they have an alternative opinion.

As for MJC, well he has shown his true colours in all their glory, and I think it will be a while before anyone takes him seriously again, apart from other pompous, self righteous, self opinionated prigs. Yes david s, you know who I mean. Have I questioned your level of intelligence just on the basis of your opinion differing to mine ?

I have made my point. A point that MJC is unable to counter without resorting to childish playground antics and insults. So for all your prose and syntax MJC, it means nothing without the ability to use it in an articulate manner.

It just isnt worth bothering with, of course we all know its against the law to have a motor here for more than 6 months but that wasnt the debate, it was about the stuck up idiots who believe their own shit doesnt stink,
I have my cayenne here, its from the channnel islands so it doesnt need an mot or road tax, i also have my 10 year old landcruiser here as well, my wife has her TT on channel islands plates, my son has a spanish plated seat which we just bought new but he also has his gb plated bike here.
My neighbour to my right has a brand new range rover uk plates, his wife has and sl 500 again gb plates they also have an ml 320 4matic gb plates,
to the other side i have a german neighbour, actually hes a member of one of the local political parties and is elected to the town council, he has an ml 320 on german plates, his wife has a 528 on german plates and his daughter has a 318 convertible on german plates, i have 3 work vans all spanish plated my english neighbour has 5 all spanish plated, so i think maybe its not such a crime here to have gb plates, certainly the guardia dont treat us any different.
Cost of matriculation, absolute madness, my cayenne was a personal import from the usa, i bought it originally for our place in the keys but seemed daft to let it rust so employed a freight agency to ship it to directly to spain.
When it got here the fukkers wanted 17 grand to release it to me, so easier and 15 grand cheaper to put it on channel island plates.
No way i am giving my money away like that.

Brits are no worse than others (apart from the language issue) its just that for every german, scandi, dutch or whatever, there are 15 brits.

Once again i dont paint houses, although i happen to think that being a decorator is a perfectly good job, that is as long as the person doing it is happy., Just because someone cannot pay a roadside fine DOES NOT mean that your car will be lifted and crushed, the only reasons for the Guards lifting your vehicle are,
                              1, No insurance documents,
                              2, Failure of breath test,
3, Officer suspects the vehicle may be stolen
4, Vehicle is on national data base for vehicles suspected of being used in a crime
5,Vehicle involved in an accident and is immobilised,
6, Vehicle involved in life threating or fatal accident,
there are a couple more reasons your vehicle can be impounded but its never for the inability to pay a roadside fine.
                              .
I completely agree with you on the painter issue.
Why cant a painter /decorater be intelligent? Stupid of someone to think otherwise.

#2 Actually you Will get you car towed aways if you are a nonresident and cant pay the fine there and then (with the discretion of the police of course) The car will however not get crushed. It will simply be taken to the impound and when you pay the fine you will get your car back.

Rubbish. A holiday maker will have his car registered to his address in the UK, and the UK police would catch up with him.

So will the illegal, except he isn't there any more!! How do you find his address here?

I hope you never have serious injuries for which you have no way of claiming compensation from the insurance as a result of running into one of these louts.
A holiday maker will have his car registered to his UK address. Yes of course, So will a non resident. He will also have his car registered to a UK address (or any other nationality for that matter)

You are not reading what Im writing. I wrote that if you are a non resident here, IE from the UK, Whats the big deal leaving a UK plated car here for ever and use it here while you are on holiday. You will still have it registered in your name at you UK address. I do take it for granted that you pay yor taxes (if needed) and your insurance.
