They are all professional tennis players now in the oympics, ever since it became open. Other teams use professional footballers too.

I think all the "BRITISH" boxers and bike riders are all amatuers, when you listen to pre race talk etc. i think most of the british squad have full time jobs

The amateur status was lifted in Barcelona -92
Because it was favouring all the eastern block as their athletes allthough not pros on paper, in de facto they were.

Shame in a sence, but then again, Olympics without pros, turns it into a B-tournament. We wouldnt be watching any dreamteam if it wouldnt be for them.
