So sorry for not replying sooner but i have been in hospital this week with 15 stiches in my finger through trying to catch a bowl falling out of the kitchen cupboard and unfortunately the bowl smashed in my hand. So I have to go everyday to the medical centre for bandages to be changed. So again sorry for the delay but yes we still have Oscar. Our phone number is 662186397 and we live in Cabo Roig. Hi yes I have seen him on the web site. He looks adorable. I´m not sure what his weight is but he is very light, as i can tuck him under my arm easily. As for height, he is a small dog about 15 inches at shoulder height.Comentario

I hope all goes well but as has already been said the dog is not the only one who needs to be trained.
Dogs cannot communicate their feelings the same way as humans can so they have their own way of letting people know how they are feeling, generally they will put up with a certain amount of messing about but when they have had enough they will give a warning such as a growl or barring of their teeth, this is the point that we (humans) should back off and give them some space. it is especially important that children understand this because if they fail to read the warning signs what happens next is that the dog reacts in a defensive way and nips at the person that is annoying them to get them to stop.it does not mean that the dog is out of control but simply that they have had enough so it is important that if you have young children and introduce a dog into their lives that they understand that there are boundries of behavior on both sides.
Both my children grew up with a dog in the house and soon learned when to back off and leave the dog alone although she (a lurcher) was very tollerant of the kids and would let them poke and prod her to distraction but having said that she was already in the home before the children came along so maybee our situation was different to the possition you find yourselves in, but i am sure if you continue to monitor the dog and your child they will both benifit from the bond they will undoubtably forge or life.
