Army pensions for second wives

would you agree that if someone has served in the British army for many years and receives a pension, this pension ceases upon death if the ex-serviceman has remarried? If on the other hand the person was still with the first wife she would receive 50percent of the pension following death. Seems unjust to me.

Damn right its unfair 22 years in the navy divorced 2 years after i left the forces and my partner of 10 years gets nothing ....if you ask her the reply would be unprintable
