Cor, not half. First off it was Telmicro that went off the air, it's been off 3 weeks. All to do with illegal rebroadcasting of Sky, BBC's ITV's and others. It seems that others seem to be following suit. Lots of money has been lost but if you read all the threads re Telmicro and Torresat you'll get the drift.

I asssume that this community you strive for would allow freedom of speech and be non-predudicial in terms of race, age, sex, creed and colour ? In which case we can all expect to see the last of your anti-english comments which appear from time to time when your guard drops, and your incredible hangups with Maggie Thatcher ?

I remember that the labour government before her was cr*p
High inflation , Strikes ,Destruction of British Leyland , rubbish on the streets.
Do you really feel that Blair and Brown have been our saviours and salvation?
Iraq , Afganistan , house price crash , Fall of the pound Sterling , immigration

All Parties promise Utopia when they are in opposition .

If you mean the Scottish National Party , then I always think of Sean Connery .
A "Scotland forever" tattoo on his arm , Spouting off about Scottish independence but lives in the Bahamas !! ( Spain before that !)

Maybe it would be a good thing for Scotland to be "free" . Then maybe "Alex Salmon" will have to deliver ! Words are always easy for politicians.

Muddled merories

I have read with interest the comments made concerning the current Government and why anyone would try and defend or support them beggars believe. This is the Government who raided the Pension Funds; offered 75p a week to pensioners; went to war in dubious circumstances; spent billions of tax payers money witout any controls using the old socialist system of central control;sold all our gold reserves; mproved public services??;improved the Health Service??; ensured that we have more public servants on inflation proof pensions that the country can afford; ensured that the next three generations will be paying for the excessive borrowing that Brown has now sanctioned - thank God he kept for two years the Tory spending plans when his party came into power or heaven knows where we would now be. And before anyone starts going on about Maggie Thatcher yes she took on the Unions who had far too much power; introduced the Poll Tax which actually saved me £500 as I was sole occupier of the house. She made several mistakes especially not making enough concesions regarding the Poll tax; selling our untilities without the necessary controls to prevent them making excessive profits without any consideration to the people using their facilities; and the debacle regarding support of the pound which cost the country billions but on reflection history will show that her years of Government were far more productive than the lot now in power.
