On the three or four occasions that i get to spend in Torrevieja each year i would appreciate any information anyone can give me on places to spend time fishing around the torrevieja area, not much on sea fishing but lakes rivers and stocked ponds would be great. I understand there is a tackle buisness in la marina do they have a website. Thx in advance to anyone that can supply me with some good info.

Hi there,
Before you start you have to get your licence you get that from branches of the Caja Rural Bank. Sorry don't know where one is but I know someone else on here will be able to help you with that. There is the lake at torremendo its quite bumpy terrain but can be done in a few places by car, then there is the Rio Segura at Guardamar. Then there is the Mill Pond at Benijofar these places come under the licence of the Valencia Alicante regions. If you want to fish in Murcia you have to get your licence from Caja Murcia Banks where there seems to be more choice of places to fish, just one is the Rio Segura in Murcia City Center. I am getting all this information from a booklet which you can buy from the Leader newspaper offices in La Zenia for 12 euro approx and it has 30 freshwater venues in it. I advise you to get it as it gives directions and bait advice etc, which would take me too long to write on here. Anyway hope this helps.Comentario
