Palm trees

Can anyone recommend somewhere to give us advice and a good price on a small (approx 20ft) palm tree? Travelling distance to Villamartin.

I know that I have passed a garden centre with hundreds of palm trees but can't remember exactly where, I would have been driving from Playa Flamenca to Dos Mares shopping centre on the N332 and it is on the right hand side, Maybe just past Cabo roig. Take a drive up there and have a look.

The place you are talking about is just before Pilar de Horadada on the 332. Dont know about prices but they have a vast selection.

There are one or two around Los Montisenos who do them, but if I was you ask them at Los Dolses garden centre just down the road from you.

palm tree removal

a couple of years ago i wanted to get rid of 2 palms, i approached a couple of garden centres who were not interested. so i went to the town hall and asked if they would remove them for me ( palms are protected and if your are caught cutting one down expect a fine), they said they would send one of their gardening blokes down to see. 6 months later i asked the town hall was there any liklyhood of someone visiting me with aview to take these trees out.
apparently someone had been and decided that they were in too awkward a position to remove and they could'nt take them away. 2 points here. 1 we never had a visit from anyone. 2 they must have snooped over our 2.8 mtr walls to investigate. anyway we carry on..... i ended up getting a local spanish gardener to take take them out for re-sale. IT COST ME 100 euros each!!!!! but a least i got rid of them. so my advice is go to a grass roots gardener but don't expect any money.

don't know doesn't say one way or another. if its a purchase theres hundreds of places to choose from, and probably 15 common varietys. sorry if i got it wrong!
