im looking for a dog sitter /foster home for my 5yr old rotty very loving family dog loves children totaly house trained and loves watching t.v(if you have it )
need to return back to uk in november ..my dog is unable to travel untill febuary/march 09 due to blood test for passport ....

Who do you have as a vet??? Waiting until February/March for blood tests or even results is ridiculous. I am sorry if this offends you, but it sounds like a "cop-out" to me - no one waits that long for a passport for their dogs. I waited 1 week for the blood tests. Get yourselves a new vet.

Think Lotte has the wrong end of the stick somehow, she's always very helpful, never a prat. If you've just started with the pet passport procedure it does take 6 months until the dog can travel.

I have a number of a lady who looks after dogs in her own home. Perhaps you could call her and explain your situation and see if she could come up with a special deal of some kind for you. It may be worth a try.

May I apologise profusely for any offence I caused by my post yesterday. I totally and utterly forgot about the 6 months rule, and for that I truly apologise. I actually thought I knew all about the Pet travel Scheme, but I was wrong.
