I know there have been some earlier posts about this but none answer my specific question.

I want to be able to see the actual plan of my property and I understand the above can be obtained from somewhere. my question is - where's the "somewhere". I do want a formal certified document - not just some advertising gumph from an agent, I've already got that and I think I own something different!!!

or does anyone know where i can obtain something which would suffice.

or is this information in the escritura?

It sounds the sort of thing they should have in the Land Registry Office but I don't know for sure.

The escritura doesn't have a plan, I beleive but it should have a detailed description of what is being purchased. Where. what, how much, etc, etc. Always a good idea to have it translated well in advance before the visit to the Notary. A neighbour of mine purchased a garage which turned out to be 30% less than described in the Escritura. When this was pointed out, the response was - 'The Notary has got it wrong!'. Unfortunately so did the builder as he signed the document. I'll let you guess the outcome!!
