Hi,
When we were in Torrevieja last December we noticed work being done to lay a big pipe under Los Locos beach, stretching to the start of the stone jetty. (Not even the end of it...)
We were out again in February and the pipe is now laid and water is flowing from it into the sea.
Does anyone know what this is for? Is it a temporary measure?
I thought Los Locos was a blue flag beach so can't imagine (very much hope) it isn't a sewage pipe. But it seems strange even to have some sort of water drainage overflow there - maybe to cope with winter rainfall...
Can anyone shed any light on this?
