NIE question

I was wondering what time the Ayuntamiento at Playa Flamenca is open for processing NIE applications.
I have already applied for the number - I just need to collect it.
Is it open 5 days a week ?
Will I need to queue early ?

Hi Derek.

The last time I ran this particular gauntlet the doors to the Ayuntamiento were opened at 8am and the 50 tickets for the day given out immediately. The actual NIE office then opened at 10am, closed at 10.30am for a coffee break until 11am (I kid you not) and then re-opened until 1pm.

In order to get one othe magical golden 50 tickets you will need to get in the queue early on - I got there at 6.45am and only just got a ticket. I would recommend 6.20ish to guarantee not having to wait around until lunch time.

I stress that this is the way it was done when I was last there, but it had changed from the system used when I had applied for my number 8 weeks earlier. At least with the system described above you can go for breakfast once you've got your ticket and come back at 10am.

Don't forget to take your passport(s) and the copy of the application form that they gave you back when you initially applied.
