Aircon Question

Hi there, could anyone of the aircon fitters here give me a ball park figure to resite an aircon unit both inside and outside. The inside unit needs to be moved from over the front door to further along the same wall about 7 feet, and the outside unit needs to be moved from inside my veranda to further along the same wall again about 7 feet. I know it would only be a rough estimate but I just need to know if its going to be very expensive.

you might find legislation has now changed and its not a straight forward switch, its something to do with either the gas within the units that cool/heat depending on the type of unit you have or its something to do with oil within, its changed over here in the UK 2007 onwards so guess your system will be obsolete if you attempt to move it, hopefully an installer can verify

Thanks for the reply Dave now I know what I have to save up, it won't be until the new year though, will it need regassing if so will that be extra.

yes it will need regassing and the cost depends on the amount needed however it should be included in the price
