can anyone tell me if it is OK to use a sat nav in spain do not want to break the law.

They sell them in Media Markt in Alicante and Elche and in other electrical shops so presume it must be ok.

Same rules as in UK. The SAT Nav should not be in the driver's line of sight. Though I notice most are right up the driver's nose. Remember the Guardia & Trafico are in need of funds so don't make it easy for them.
