Morning Yllig. I know we share similar worries about things and so I thought I would tell you that I have been searching the web for an hour and the number one topic for discussion amongst expats everywhere, is the economic crisis and the loss of incomes due to the fall in the pound. Don't expect any sympathy from the comments on media sites back home though. They all think we are wealthy and lounging around by our pools. If only, eh ?

I think the other site is down at the moment too. Serve 'em right !

Interesting to see the administrator of this site has posted a few upbeat things probably due to complete site inactivity and the fact that we just aren't interested in 'whooping it up' anymore due to the extremely worrying times we are in.

Pleased to see that we are not the only ones John.

As you say some people will be only too pleased to see things a bit rough for us due to that little green eyed monster.

However, weather is now better and the sun is shining again so its not all bad.

I cannot get on the other site either. Its down quite a lot.

The papers says this song is by real bankers and stock brokers and they are hoping to get it into the top 10!!

I am convinced the other site's breakdown again (it's trying to outdo Telesat) is the rubbish that the posters talk to themselves about that as nothing whatever to do with the original query. It's absolutely amazing how a thread on there can change to what are you wearing tonight in a matter of seconds

I agree. I have found a lot of them on there only want to have a laugh which is fine, but sometimes you do want to have a serious discussion and it gets turned into a joke.
