Sorry, have not heard of them. I am with a company called Midas who are excellent but getting a bit expensive now with what is happening to the pound. I am investigating alternatives. Midas charge 45 euros a month for unlimited broadband and 500 minutes of phone calls to most landlines in the world. Expensive to mobiles though and there is still the telefonica line rental on top.

Has anyone tried the B.T. system? They have been cold calling in our area (Villamartin) but could not give anyone as recommendation. They said that you do not need to stay with Telefonica.

Has anyone heard of this company?
From what I can gather they are offering a UK landline and Spanish landline number, Internet and UK TV.
Although I can hear lots of rumours I cannot find a price or a website?
Any ideas???

I have used Direct Telecom's phone service for over 3 years.

Works fine, and billing is clear.

I have never had any problems with them.

What do you think of their mobile calls from Spain to Europe for 3.3 cents/min?
I'm considering - you need a service provider to allow you to dial an access number at Direct Telecom, very cheaply. From there you're on 3.3 cents/min.
For example, I'm with Movistar. They charge 15 cents connection and, depending on which tarjeta/contract you're on, so much per minute. Movistar offer various options - Mi Gente, for instance, allows you to pick 5 favourite numbers (min. 3 to be Movistar - can be landline or mobile) and you can talk for 5.4 cents/min.
So it would cost 15 cents connection plus about 9 cents/min. Seems not a bad deal.
I like the facility where, once you've dialled and connected to the access number, you can make your international calls one after another without incurring the 15 cents connection charge.
Anyone know any other options for cheap international calls fron a spanish mobile?
