The Pasty Shack, Cabo Roig 'strip'

I had been informed that this business had closed. It HAS NOT. It is still trading and I bought a pasty from the lovely people there today. Rumours often kill a business and these people do not deserve it as they work hard. Yes, things are dire on Orihuela Costa and dozens of businesses have gone, collapsed, disappeared and so on but please could you give these really genuine people your support if possible ?

The pasties are from Crantock Bakery in Cornwall which is why I am a little biased as I was born there. They are very nice indeed but as with all imports (Iceland Stores etc) I suppose the fall of the Pound v. the Euro has made them seem a little more expensive. I treated myself to a small pasty today (memories of the homeland !) and it was three euro.

we would like everybody to know that all "The Pasty Shack" shops have not closed and are open for business as normal.

The only thing as changed is that another company as taken over the distribution network to all the shops & the opening of new Pasty Shack outlets.

Which part of Cornwall do you come from? I'm not Cornish but have lived in Cornwall for about 33 years, in Boscastle and and the last 6 years in Launceston. I am moving over to Spain April May time. I have seen all your posts about getting people together for community events and admire you that's a great idea. My house in Spain is in the Las Filipinas/Blue Lagoon area (not far from Villamartin) so in the wrong area for you but I hope you get the idea off the ground and it is successful. A local butchers here in Launceston does a lovely pasty, I like them freshly made but not piping hot, Hmm. delicious.
