Does anyone know of the best way to treat mould, I have come upon it in my holiday apartment I would think it has come about due to lack of ventilation.
Is there a solution that can be bought? as it would have to be applied prior to painting, would anyone know of the name of the same and where to buy?

    Thanks John

If your apartment is newly built the mould could be as a result of the walls being painted before the plaster had dried fully.
Otherwise it could have occurred due to condensation and lack of ventilation over the winter months. If the problem is due to lack of ventilation you have two options. Firstly you can get in air conditioning and let it run for an hour or so every day while you are away. If this is not an option it may be worth your while to get somebody to visit your apartment every week or so just to open the windows, run the taps for a few minutes, flush the toilet and so forth.
When my beloved spouse and I moved into our apartment last year we had bad mould on outer and inner walls caused by the walls being painted before the plaster had dried. We reported this to the builder who sent around a workman who didn't speak Emglish (and we had no Spanish then), but he had a good remedy. He filled a bucket with bleach diluted in water, got a brush and handed them to my wife who got the message and brushed the bleach on to the mould areas. It worked like a treat and I gave myself a pat on the back for resolving the problem so easily.
