Cartegena sights?

Thought we may go down to Cartagena for a look round. What are the best 'bits'? What should we head for? I've read somewhere about Roman ruins???? Is it worth it?

Cartegena sights

Cartegena is a lovely city. Head for the historic part - lots of public car parks at the port area, although they're not cheap. The port area is really nice, particularly on a sunny day with a cold beer! The council/regional govt. have spent a fortune improving the area.

The Roman ruins are interesting, particularly the amphi-theatre. Just walking around the old town, looking at the variety of shops is a day out in itself.
