Can anyone tell me some good job agencies around the area please.

Hi,
As far as I am aware and I have been here for a few years and living in Torrevieja, we have no job agencies here. Shops etc either advertise for the person(s) required in their windows, or they advertise in the free English, Scandinavian and other foreign papers and magasines. The only job agency that I have ever seen here in Spain is in Alicante Airport when you come through after collecting your luggage. Most of the jobs advertised there are for the airport or surrounding areas more towards Alicante and beyond, not south.
I have also been looking for a job for a very long time, and even with the languages that I speak it is very difficult in this day and age, but I wish you good luck.

thanks for that i know things are very tough at the minute no jobs out there at all. I was just hoping there might be some agencies out there .

You would be best printing loads of CV's and covering areas 24/7. When I lived in Torre that's how I found work or via friends of friends or family and found it tough 5 years ago, now I would think its impossible as the current employed are losing hours through winter and with the recession employers will want to cut back in the summer to make some cash to cover next winter which will be worse.

Try adverts in the local press wanting work

thanks for the reply hopefully something will come up. My wife who is spanish is looking into starting up her own business teaching spanish to kids and adults and so far there has been great interest even in this bad economy. So hopefully that will take off
