  • How to trick Ryanair and the Gestapo

    Victory: I cheated Ryanair ....
Madrid - Alicante flight on saturday evening, and of course the usual problem: taken too many papers and leaflets at the trade fair. And did not look forward to waiting an hour or so for the bag to arrive at the luggage exit in Alicante airport.
Solution: went through check in - no problem as had left my trolley a metre behind and suppose the girl was somewhat shortsighted.

Then through scanning - no problem.
Then went into the Aldeasa shops, and bought a T shirt for my wife - and asked for three large plastic bags. Then put all the stuff in there, making sure the top was filled with the toys and the new computer bag I bought last week. And then went into the usual discussion when getting to the plane.
As things 'were bought' at the airport - asked them politely why Aldeasa does not inform people you cannot buy with them - final clincher as my question: if you want pls ask the Guardia Civil to come over, why not? And can I have the hojas de reclamación please also?

    Hmm on board.

Just one general question: is their employment agency for stewardesses the same as the one used at the time by the Gestapo? Having flown a number of times with them, I am under that firm impression.
Stewardess, another polish girl that speaks halting english, no spanish, and acts as though she is the master of the universe - finishing with the funny words: ' if you don t like it, take the train'. If anyone working with me at the restaurant should use that expression, I think it would take me 5 seconds to kick him or her out. Gestapo reigns at Ryanair!!!!!

Do recommend everyone to take the train to Madrid - 10 euro more expensive but such a luxury and no stress. And you go from and to the city centres.

The last part of your post saves a hell of a lot of time and money and makes trveling by train more sense.
I could never understand people traveling from Manchester to London by plane when it cost up to 3 times as much and took longer!!!

Flying three times the cost of the train!

When did you last book a ticket on the train in the UK love?

I admit to being biased after 38 years in the airline business but there is a hell of a lot of b******t talked about the train/airplane benefits.

In Spain I agree it is much better to travel on the clean, fast, relatively cheap train rather than risk Ryanair!

My sister travels every week by train from Lancaster to Surrey it takes her 4 hours from home to her daughter's and costs around £40 return .
If she drives it costs her more than that in petrol and takes 2 hours extra if she is lucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
