new sports centre

can anyone tell me where exactly in las piscinas is the new sports centre going too be as las piscinas is a very large area around playa flamenca.

Sports centre

The sports centre in Playa Flamenca was planned to be built on the area south of the Shopping Centre (Eroski) and East of Mercadona.

However, the football pitches on which there should have been an artificial pitch laid last year, has just gone un-used.

In Torreveija, everything is happening around the current Sports Centre.

New Sports Centre

Went to the Town Hall yesterday and asked about it while there.

It's up past Celtic Isle (on your right), turn left at 1st crossroads onto Calle Niagara. Past where the old football pitch is (1 goalpost still standing) and where the road bends around to the right at the top, its on the right on the field opposite the turning for Calle Guapiles.

There is to be
a football pitch, 2 tennis courts, basketball court, paddleball court and POSSIBLY a pool. They can't confirm the pool as it's not on the plans, but they said that there is room in one corner where the planners have not yet marked what is going there. They have no date for the start of the project and have not yet determined who will build it. It's all outdoor. Not yet sure about the pool (if there is one) if it's covered or not. They have the plans up on the wall in the planning office in the Town Hall.

thought that must be where the sports centre was going to be.will be interesting too see if it is built and completed within the year!
