internet access for lap top

I am coming over for a 2 week holiday and am bringing over my lap top. Can someone advise me the besy way to get short term access to the internet?

There have been other threads with this question and I think the best solution suggested is the dongle from Vodafone - if they have them in stock.

The cheapest would be a wifi cafe if you are not here long term also my sister wh is in North Costa Blanca and has a telefonica line has just gone on the RTN network which is Europa she says it is only dial up but does for what she wants when in Spain and she pays as she goes

Where are you staying? A lot of the bars have free wifi xs. Near me (close to Habeneras) are St James Gate and Shannon. I'm sure there are plenty more around.

Wifi xs is just an abbreviation for wireless internet access, like most people would have at home to connect their laptop etc without wires.

Most of the bigger pubs now have wireless broadband routers installed so that their customers can bring their own laptops in and access the net (wifi xs). I suppose this helps them to get "bums on seats".

So, if you have a wireless enabled laptop and you come across a pub offering free wifi xs you can get on the net for the price of a pint/coffee/coke etc.

Bar staff are generally pretty good and will help you connect if you have any diffs.

The only problem is doing business on these wifi connections as they are not always as secure as you would like at home but absolutley fine for picking up emails and browsing the internet

Agree 100% with gal, good for surfing, emais etc, but I wouldnt use it to access my bank accounts.
