plasti dip paint

hi, can anyone help. in the uk you can get a paint called plasti dip, which comes in clear or colours, and forms a plastic coating to protect from rust and flaking, as everytime i come over i have to re do my railings and grilles ect, i was thinking of giving this a go, does anyone know if you can get this or something similar in torrevieja, and if so what it might be called, thanks nick.

Hi again I would also appreciate any advice info on rustproofing grills gates etc they were really bad a few weeks ago when I was over and it doesent do much for the propertys looks can anyone suggest any good products I can try.many thanks Jeanie

I remember thinking many years ago - Great, new property no more painting! Huh - rusting grilles are a problem - 2 solutions that I have found:

1. Replace with expensive non rust metal (which I did - paid 200€ for a small gate!)

2. Before painting treat with a rust inhibitor - good old Hammerite make one and there is a Spanish equivalent. It is easy to apply and it does hold the rust back for a while - but not for ever!

If anybody has any other solutions I would love to hear them!
