  • Hacienda Taxes

Our small urbanisation (only 30 properties) have just been told by our very expensive Administrators that we have to pay taxes to 'Hacienda'.

Does anybody know what these taxes are for and is anyone else actually paying them?

Is it some form of stealth wealth tax?

Get your presidente to ask to see the tax forms and if not happy ask them to explain it is the Administrators who should be looking after your interests if they aren;t sackem and get someone who looks after your money, we are with NBA and their charges are reasonable they do a good job.
    REMEMBER you are paying them

I would be very interested to see what taxes they are talking about - as none exist!

However I am wondering if they are also trying to get your business as individuals and your personal tax liabilities - which of course is a different matter altogether.

Keep us posted I am sure we are all interested in this one!

The wealth tax and renta (wealth tax is now defunct) are sorted out by the Hacianda, do you already pay these yourself? can't think why the administrators are asking you about this unless the Hacienda offices have asked them to, as lots don't pay these taxes and they will be added to the propertys eventually, let us know how you get on,,,, or you could even ask the administrators before the AGM what they mean.

The latest info on the Urbi grapevine is that according to our !*?*!*?*! administrators the taxes become payable if you retain a suplus of community fees after all bills have been paid for the year - a bit like a company's profits???
All sounds very queer to me, what if the surplus is just handed back to the Urbi members.
We are not here to make a 'profit' - that's our money for future improvements and maintenance etc.
            Will keep you informed.

Sounds VERY suspicious! OK money held on deposit will (I think) have to pay the 18% withholding tax but apart from that I still don't think there are any relevant taxes and I have certainly not seen anything of the newsletters I get from solicitors etc.

Our Urb is 36 houses and we pay NBA around 2,500 pa works aout at 70 euros per house they are on the opposite side of the N332 to Habaneras you can see the black glass from the road their phone number is 96571869.
Carmen our administrator is very switched on, she makes me question ,and that is how it should be when you are looking after other peoples money and interests.
I am sure you are allowed to keep a reserve for future repairs without being taxed, I will ask her if we are taxed on our reserve fund and let you know
