Transfer of ownership

I am buying a car from a friend and would like to know what paperwork I need to transfer ownership. I seem to be getting conflicting advice. I plan on going to Alicante next week and would like to make sure I have all the necessary papers to save any hassle.
Any help or advice would be appreciated
