Question. If i was to bring a sky box over with the new card they are advertising currently what dish would i need to actually recieve the pictures, if im correct the black mesh dishes are too small.

Question. As the subscription would be cancelled ( bought of ebay ) what channels would i recieve.

answer:
you can use any dish size from an 80cm dish up to 2.4 (or 3.1m)
many channels (eurobird, astra 2a and b south) can be picked up on an 80cm disg - channels like sky news, bbc news, sky one...
but for bbcs and itvs you will be looking at anything about a 1.45m dish, with 1.8m being popular for size and cost.
sky minidishes just about pick up some of the stronger eurobird, astra 2a and b south signals.

so basically your dish size depends on what channels you actually want to watch.
