Hi its me thats looking an apartment it sounds as if placebo couldnt get out of Torrrevieja quick enough! Sorry about not getting back to you sooner but she who must be obeyed wants her full 2 weeks of sun or Im history. She also has her heart set on La Dama (again) so that just makes my job that little bit easier ...... not!

I'll tell you why! Because the Mrs said so!

Ok so the lure of the sun, sand, sea, and san miguel has won once again. As is she who must be obeyed's perogative, we are not going to La Dama now, but we are still going to the Los Locos area, in July, for 2 whole weeks, and now that it's paid for, and I'm broke again, I'd better start putting away some beer money, purely for medicinal purposes you know.....
Flights for 4 did cost me the guts of £900.00. I'll not make the same mistake next year, (or more likely, later on this year), once next years flights are released. Looking forward to Tipsy's, Popeye's, and Murphs again, plus all the new places on the go. Hope to run into Cookie and Debs again, and between now and then it would be good if anyone out there could post to let us all know what things are like, once the season really kicks off, and the best places to eat etc. See you all in 2 months time!
PS from what I've found out the whole place will be packed out this summer, Ive found it very hard to get accomodation but then once we are all there we mightened have any money left to spend anyway!

There are a lot of bargains to be had in bars & restaurants now.
Try the New Dining Room in San Luis. It is on the commercial strip at Lakeside, near Reeves the Butchers.
Recently opened, (was Carolinas & Lakeside), it offers good food at reasonable prices.

Every Friday is Fish & Chips with mushy peas, bread & butter at a bargain price of 5.00 euros.

It has lots of entertainment.
Every Monday is "Dynamic Touch" with Ray on Sax. from 2pm
Every Wednesday is "Bandjaxed" with open mic....great fun. from 2pm
Every Sunday enjoy a traditional Roast, with live entertainment from "Ricardo & Valerie" 1pm

5th June " All that Jazz" from 1pm
12th June "Tony Kelly" Rat Pack tribute. from 1pm
17th June "Hog Roast" from 1pm
19th June "Andy Jones" singer from 1pm

Thanks for that. I haven't been up that end of town before but I may give it a go.
I assume if you get the bus it will leave you off close to here?
Im not out untill 21/07/09 so if anyone else finds anywhere nice to dine please let me know.
