Humax Freesat box

I can receive most of the Freesat channels the main problom being that BBC2 Channel 5 and Radio 5 are only available in the evenings

which can only be resolved by a bigger dish...even in my area (just south of valencia) they say a 4m dish should pull in BBC2,3,4 and Freesat 5 24/7!

We live in the Playa Flamenca area and are using a 1.9m dish and had the same problem with BBC2 until we changed our LNB to an Invacom quad and had the dish re alined at the same time. Once we had this done we then changed our box to a Humax H.D and now we get all channels no problem using a Jersey post code.

All channels 24/7...?
including BBC2 / Five in the morning? on a 1.8m dish?
if so that is very impressive (and very surprising) as i know people with a 2.4m dish in your area that cannot get them 24/7!
using a different postcode will not make a difference as to reception of bbc2 - as all regional versions (englisih, NI, Scotland &Wales) of bbc2 are on similar frequencies with "tricky" reception.
Using the correct postcode will make a difference for BBC1 - BBC1 London is also on a weaker frequency like bbc2...and BBC CI and BBC East do tend to be the strongest BBC1 frequencies.
But you use a channel islands postcode as this wil also give you a strong ITV regions also!
and to be honest most good installers will only fit an invacom LNB to a prime focus dish anyway!

I am not sure of the make of the dish as it was bought by the previous owners but we have been using this for the past 5 yrs with limited channels.
Once Telemicro went up the swanny we decided we would upgrade the system. BBC2 is the only that isn't on 24.7 it normally comes on after lunch time once we changed to the H.D Humax and the other BBC channels we tend to watch BBC N.E as thats where we are from.
I wouldn't waste my money on a rebroadcaster again.
