  • Aquapark Flamingo?

    Hi
We have just arrived in La Siesta and wondered if anyone knew when the Aquapark Flamingo in La Siesta is opening? It does not give a date on their website, and my son is desperate to go there!

    Thank you

It's says on their website, open from June through to September. If you are in La Siesta pop around and have a look?

      Thanks for that.
We went past the Park today on the bus and there is no water in the pools yet. I think that it has usually opened on the 1st June, but this year they have been building a new slide and this has delayed opening?

My daughter is only here until Saturday, so it looks like we will be out of luck this time.

Thank you - I will keep a look out for vouchers!
One of my neighbours found out that it is not likely to open for another 10 days.

Does anyone know what the Rojales Water Park is like? I think this one is open already, but it would be a taxi ride for us from La Siesta.

There is also a swimming pool in San Luis but again it does not appear t be open yet?

I have not heard great things about the large water park in Torrevieja - is it suitable for younger children?

          Your help is much appreciated!

Rojales park is OK. Fine for small kids - theres a big shallow pool with smaller slides, fountains etc., regular pool and a few slides from "gentle" to mad! It's showing its age a bit compared with Flamingo (which is much smaller) but a good day out.
Torrevieja park is not that small child friendly in our experience - its very expensive, there's lots of limits on the rides and a lot of extra charges depending on what you want to do. We won't be rushing back there.

I guess even if Flamingo opens in a few days if the pools are empty the water is not going to be too warm for a while!!

Thanks for that info. Yes I was worrying about the water temperature of the Flamingo, too!

We have no car over here at the moment - I don't suppose there is a bus to the Rojales pool - I have looked on a map and it estimates that it is approx 15 minutes drive away from La Siesta .... a bit too far to walk methinks?!
