Decode car refund

I paid decode car £ 402.48 in 28/06/2010 for car hire which I cancelled within few days, they told me that they will refund us within 5 days, since then we didnot receive anything.

What is the best way to do as I donot have their phone no or contact

Please find the details below. Good luck as I have phoned countless times and they never answer teir phones. They do repond to email sometimes but lots of promises and still no refund. Good luck and let us know how you get on

Finally three months later I have received a full refund. It took a phone call to my banks complaints department and the help of a very nice man at the end of the phone to help me compose a letter to my bank copying all emails I had received from Decode. sent recorded delivery. Within 2 days the money was in my account . Big lesson learnt is to pay all future payments over the internet by credit card as you are insured on a credit card. Those of you out there still waiting theRe is hope but you need to keep pushing. AS FOR DECODE OR WHATEVER ELSE THEY CALL THEMSELVES THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN NOW.

Just keep emailing them threaten them and they will resond. You need to go through your bank file a claim for goods not received. It took me 3 months but I got my money back. Why are they still trading?

Avoid them at all cost. you pay money up front and when you arrive the rental company want a further full payment, due to the non payment from Decode. This company also trades as Sun car . there has been a lot of treads on various web sites including Trip advisor concerning this topic. The only way you can get your money back is if you have paid on a credit card and the cost is in excess of £100. 00 . take a look at the tread form last summuer on this forum .

8 pages just highlights the extent of the missery that this company are causing. It is about time they were shut down not this thread.

It is important not to stop the thread because they are still a major scam operating out of Riga, Latvia and using several different names. The UK authorities have been trying to close them down, and they keep reopening under various different guises, none using registered companies. They have a long history of doing this.....Suncars, Torrevieja, Decode, Decode broker engines etc etc etc. They owe people left right and centre.
